The Brogues

I was at my local pub quiz the other night when my friend noticed that I was wearing a pair of Barker Rainham shoes. He told me that he had seen a number of barker shoes and had been wanting to buy a pair of Barker Jupiter shoes. But because he knew of no stockists nearby, and was unsure of sizing, he hadnt been able to puchase a pair. So I told him about my experiences with Barkers, and informed him that Barker shoes are either true to size or come up slighty big in size. When purchasing Barker shoes you should never go up in size. I remember when my brother bought a pair of Barker Rex Mens Shoes off the internet for a job interview. For some reason, he decided to go a size up, and they were far too big. He does have broad feet, but the Barker Rex shoe is available in a G fitting which is a wide barker shoe fitting that offers plenty of room for people with broad feet. Barker shoes also come in F and FX fitting which are narrower than the Barkers G fitting, with the FX fitting being slightly broader than the F fitting.  So just to recap – don’t go a size up in Barkers and Don’t buy Trainers

I was at a birthday barbecue last weekend when I noticed one of the guests was wearing a pair of Trickers. I started chatting  to him about The Trickers Bourton Shoe I had recently purchased. I recently received my new pair of Trickers Bourton Brogue shoes. They are fantastic quality and very very comfortable. I have been wearing Trickers shoes for the last 20 years and every pair I have had have been first class. The trickers Bourton Brogue shoes that I have bought are Acorn in colour and are very similar in style to The Trickers Keswick Brogue. Unlike the Trickers Keswick Brogue, the trickers Bourton have a double leather welted sole. This helps the trickers bourton brogue last a lifetime. The trickers broughton brogue are handmade and have full leather lining and leather insoles. Sizing wise, I have gone for size 11 (which is my normal UK size) and they fit pefectly. However, the trickers bourton brogue come with a generous width fitting,  so if you have particularly narrow feet, you might be able to drop down half a size.

Before purchasing my new Trickers Bourton Brogue, I shopped around on the internet for some time. I eventually found Hobson Shoes who were offering the shoes at an unbeatable price.
